Week 5: Good, Better Best

Alright, Ni hao, My Fellow Americans!!!

To start off this address, I will announce “sister of the week” as SISTER FAUX!!! She is perfect and stuff!!!  Beyond that, I can't say anything because I’m a missionary now!!! (Probably going to marry her)

Had a super duper spiritual week. Had promptings and followed them. Talked to Swedish elders and talked to Elder Hanneman and Edmunds.

Lately I have honestly been balling it up like a boss with elder Edmunds. We have become pretty tight. We always run into each other in the classroom and showers. He is a baller.

Shout out to Taylor Bird for your farewell!! Ball it up man, I know you will do amazing thanks for getting me on a mish!!!

  

My boy Elder Argyle (Spanish fork) just left. That kid is such a stud and will be an amazing mish. We had a lot of good talks and we actually bonded pretty well. Turns out Spanish fork and Springville are a lot alike. Haha. I love that kid.

Please pray for Elder Paystrup. He needs our prayers. I hope the best for him. He is such a stud.  I love you man, get better.

Congrats to my lil bro Jacob for just being a big time recruit for all the schools making me proud!!! atta kid.

Been going through some traumas of my past but through faith and being positive the  Lord has helped me feel at peace.

I always run into Sister Woods. She is so funny and we always talk forever. She is pretty cool. I guess for a ginger. J

I love my Swedish elders but they are leaving soon and it kills me a lot because my best boy Miles is leaving. I also love Zaugg, Simas, Johnson, Hansen, Stafford and the rest of them.

Met a sister going to Hong Kong. She was a looker for sure but my mom is better because she went to Hong Kong too.

Hermana Howell is pretty cool.

We always talk about how this is exactly like EFY except my crying and dancing is of the devil. J

Saw Megan Jackson this week. That's always a treat and a half!!

There is good, better, best. It’s good to follow rules, better to follow all the rules but best to save a soul

Also I swear my girlfriend should probably write me..... (jokes i don’t have one)!

Also i have bonded pretty well with Elder Hanneman. He is a total stud. I love the kid to death. These past 2 weeks have been tight. We have gotten to know each other a lot and he will go so far in life.

Elder Kou finally has a crush on an Asian sister (go figure).

I got snitched on by someone. We don't know who but then I got chastised but if I learned anything from Snow its rule 1. sell bricks rule 2. don't snitch rule 3. get chicks. Now that I’m a mish i can’t do 1 and 3 but rule 2 applies!!!

Anyways, love my dad. Hope you getter better pops and my mommy I miss you a lot. Cassie, I love you and think you are so beautiful. Jacob, attta boy. Jared I am so proud you. Caity you are so cute~!!!! i love you!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps Josh Can Be Called as the MTC Greeter....

As much as we miss our Joshy, its wonderful to get these SD cards full of pictures of Josh around those he loves. He has repeatedly said that he really loves his companion, district and teachers. Again, I'm not sure who most of the elders or sisters in these pictures are...but its great to see him with Elder  Miles, Elder Allen, Elder Miyasaki, Elder Krieger, Elder Garfield and Elder Martin and other friends he grew up with. I'm thrilled that he finally starting to wear different ties! Perhaps if the MTC ever needs a "official greeter" Josh can volunteer!

MTC Week 4: Never a Boring Moment at the MTC

Josh's posts continue to make me laugh, cry and shake my head. I didn't take or add anything but I did fix a "couple typos."

Hello my fellow Americans!!! This week has been pretty cray cray if you will ( sup Cam Carson)

Sister of the week goes to Sister Anderson who is going to the Paris France mission. She has red hair, blue eyes and a  wonderful personality. She says she is going to marry Chris Badger when she gets home so let's keep our fingers crossed that it happens.

I had an amazing talk with Miles. i honestly felt like I wasn't doing good in anything but then Miles sat me down in the middle of the hallway and showed me an amazing scripture. 

I realized today that my mom is what the American dream is . She came from nothing (Vietnam) and went to America not knowing jack and now is an INTERNATIONAL lawyer with her own firm and nice mini van I might add. I sometimes think I can run to mom's work.  But ya mom proved everyone wrong by becoming that even though she is Asian and a woman. That is so cool!!!! Love you mom.

Chinese is coming along nicely.  I have learned a lot. Elder Kou takes me around to random classrooms full of mainly Europeans and has me teach the lesson while he translates it is really cool. I love it.

So Jacob that song "People are Crazy", well that is me and Elder Shelton. We honestly just go on splits and talk about all the crazy things we have done, all the girls we've liked and especially our dreams. It is honestly one of my favorite things ever.

Congrats to Dawson Pederson on the call!!! Australia that is sick!!! Dude it turns out your super popular here!! Everyone here knows you. It is ridiculous. I use your name to help me talk to sisters hahaha j/k but I'm serious everyone loves you, me especially!!!

Ran into my boy Elder Hanneman !!  I was so excited. That kid is such a stud and will be a superstar at BYU when he gets back. We had a nice chat about college football and stuff and how he needs to have a girl write him. LADIES WRITE HIM.  Honestly love the kid to death.

Ran into Jalon It was awesome. He is honestly speaking a lot better than I did so I am so proud of him He is a zone leader. I almost teared up when I saw him but then we called each other homo's to counteract the weird feelings.

Thank you Ryan Grassley for the letter it helped med a lot to be honest. It was some of the best advice I had got the entire mission. 1 month. .... but ya in blues we trust peace and blue skies.  RAW HIDE.

Lately i have been chastised up the wazoo for stupid stuff but there is a scripture that I got to love being chastised so I welcome it with warm smile and a sarcastic comment.

 President Baker told me I'm like Saul . I have proof that I am actually like Moses. I made a chart and will be showing him tonight.

I am loving Elder Kou with a passion of a thousand tiger lilies ( no racism intended)

So this one time I was crying like a baby and I heard a song going through my head and it was that song  THE CRITCH sang at our graduation, the Jewish one... it was pretty cool.  I usually just think of that and it calms me down to the point where I can not be crying like a baby.

I need Jacob to send me a mp3 player with music. not now but before  I leave. I will let you know what songs.

I love the Swedish elders so much.  They are so great, honestly like a second family.

So Sister Faux and I made eye contact at dinner.  It was super romantic and stuff. It was like a date except we are 20 feet away and surrounded by people but ya it was so righteous.

Shout to Jared. I have no idea how you did at your tourney but know that I love the poop out of you and i miss you a lots and you better be training real hard and listening to Jacob.

Jacob I enjoy your letters  so much and I hope you are being good to the family? Go kick some arse at the Dartmouth ID camp and ODP one because I have been bragging up a shiz storm about you lately.

I wanna give a shout out to Cassie for giving me the only valentine I received and it was the best one I have ever received.  I love you lil sis!!  How are you doing !! 

Caity!!!! I miss your letters. How is school and dance?

I met some of Kendall Palmer's comps.... they told me if i want a wife as beautiful as his I have to step it up....so ya I'm gonna step it up now.

I am still vegetarian ( they got me Dakota) but ya its weird and alright I guess!!!

My teacher Lui Laoshi gave only me a diary and told me to be a gospel scholar so that's what I'm gonna do ......

MTC Week 3: Josh is a Vegetarian? Huh?

(this is Josh's quick, rambling, fun loving, UNEDITED, unspell checked, and especially ungrammar checked letter) It reminds me of Josh at home who always told you what was on his mind, good bad or otherwise. It sounds like as always, he's happy go lucky!

Ni hao everybody!!! this week has been insane!!! first off ive been sick for a lot of it but i can't be a wuss because gods not a fan of those. I am currently a week vegitarian and stuff...no meat all because alste miles dared me too. and its really hard to be honest i miss meat so much. but ya what evers i suddenly have a passion for animal rights and stuff. i felt the spirit this week it was weird turns out i have a lot things i have tried to forget and they all came out this week. it was crazy i was crying and stuff . talking about my pops cancer (love him) but ya it was ridicuoulous. 

sister of the week. Hermana smith. this wonderful sweet loving sister who honestly has the most caring eyes in the entire world . i was sick in the hospital and she said to get better and she started to tear up it was kinda weird but comforting. she kinda looks like kecia farley. weird..... 

My teachers are the best when i was feeling the spirit i talked to bro workman and honestly the man is god sent and when he talked to me it wasnt him it was an angel. he is honestly what keeps me on a mission. i love the guy so amazing. 
Liudishang is way tight too he always is there for me and stuff and keeps me on the right track. wei jie mai is like you mom it is ridicoulous you guys act the same way but she talks like you. 

So when it all came out president baker MADE me talk to some counselor because he says i have been through a lot. and he said if i didn he would take away my mail... so i went... cause i like mail...

Kou is being pretty cool love the lil guy try to make him happy. my district is awesome. there are 8 missionaries out here but ya i love them to death. amazing guys i love elder shelton so much. we call our DL fuher flint i love him. 

miles is doing ok i love being there for him. 

Wrestled aldste zaug that was an interesting choice..... not exactly moral in any sense. 
Met some cool elders, elder westbrook knows dawson pederson and elder mumford is cool because of his last name. 

still kinda flirting. im learning a lot of chinese and some french. chinese is coming along nicely and im reading the bible currently. 

I love cassie letters to me they are so fun fill and full of love its rididcoulous how much i laugh from them. jared you better try out for rangers and work hard. caitlen!!!! how is my princess doing??!?!!? jacob be good to mom she loves but ya buddy i love you. mom be nice to cassie she is trying. patience is a a christ like attribute and stuff and ddad i miss you tons...

I miss fishing a lot....

Elder Buhler Making New Friends

I always told Josh that he could make friends with anyone...even a rock. Josh sent home his SD card today with pictures of him and 120 of his new best friends! We don't exactly know who these folks are but they are all smiling. Here's Josh with his buddies Elder Miles, Elder Sisk, Elder Krieger, Elder Garfield, Elder Brady and a whole bunch of new friends! Included in this set of pictures are the traditional "map" and "visit the temple with the district" pictures. So glad to see Josh smiling! Ric thinks he pointing at Ireland instead of Taiwan. What do you think?

We also got a really cool letter from his companion today. He said that Josh and him were getting along great. That letter made my day!
