Jacob congrats on almost making BYU. Here's a pic to make up for my lack of email. Oh yeah, my mission pres tore me a part last week. It was good for me though to be honest. I'm glad he did. But ya, love you all. Cassie, stay safe at UCLA. Jacob make BYU soccer.  Jared, ball out. Caitlin, stay healthy that goes for you too, dad.

Week 25: Working Hard, Great Companionship, and Lots of Interesting Memories!

1. Have you started having a million new missionaries in your mission yet? What is it like? Not yet. Pretty soon I might be training but hopefully not!!!

2. Do you get the letters I mail you through Dear Elder where I copy and paste your friends' letters? Do you read them? Yes, I love them!!!!

3. What was the most exciting thing that has happened to you this week? Well, I will explain.

4. Where are you reading in the Book of Mormon? I am reading in Alma 33.

5. What are you doing to increase your testimony? Working hard.

Ni hao everyone!!! Nothing much has happened. We are kinda short on time cause well everyone has to follow the rules and ya as for stories we had an investigator come to church drunk and high at the same time ... so yes that was interesting. Elder McKenzie and I have been working super hard, I love it!!! We got a new elder today. His name is Elder Christensen. He is from Timpview High School. It turns out I have played against him !!!  So everything is good out here. I'm learning to love it. I am grateful for you all. I know that God is watching over all of us even though we can not comprehend him watching over us. God bless all of  us!!!  I almost threw a kid out a window.  He is a pedeophile but the sisters calmed me down. He pushed a little kid into a wall but ya I love everyone.

Also I was asking this guy where he was going in chinese.  I was like  "ni yao chu nali?" He responded "he pi jie gun kai" which is chinese for to get drunk, f--- off hahahhahaha. Ah man, the mission is interesting. Also I love curry.

Ya, I love it out here.

Week 24: Survived a Typhoon and Changed His Name!

1. What's the coolest thing that has happened to you this past week? I survived a typhoon. That was pretty cool.

2.  Tell us about your investigators. How many do you have? Are any of them close to being committed to being baptized? Well, we have a family and a 4 other guys whose names I can't pronounce. None of them are ready yet.

3. Describe what your missionary apartment looks like? A lot of water everywhere with cockroaches and stuff.

5. Are the members in this ward feeding you? Yes, not as much which is good for me!!!

6. What did you like best in your care package? Obviously the chips and fruit roll ups!!!!

7. What are you doing for Pday? Well some member took us out to eat which was nice and then just emailing.

Zemmeyang!!! What's up everyone>!!! All is well in tai flipping cheng!!!! Mom, I got your package.  Thank you so much. I loved it I loved the shirt.and pins!!
Also I changed my name from Elder Pu which means simple to Elder Xiong which means Bear or Panda Bear in honor of Jared but also cause Pu isn't a real name in Taiwan.

What does everyone look like!! I've been gone for almost 7 months!!!  Liking the missionary more. Its darn hard as heck but I know its all for helping my family and making them proud which makes it all worth it. I love and miss everyone especially you dad.

So we got hit by some kinda typhoon and its like all hell broke loose like honestly the sky threw up on us. They told us to still go out so we did but  it was kinda dangerous. So our house flooded which was definitely interesting.
The church announced this week that some missions would be using some face book stuff and I told my mission president that I would like to not use face book because I feel I would abuse the privilege.

We are working super hard lately. We got some pretty good people to teach but no one here cares because all anyone cares about is money. It's super sad but we can't do anything about it!!!

My Chinese is coming along!!! I'm working harder on it then ever.

We got to go to Costco which was awesome and then bowling!!! It was heaven sent!!

What's this I hear about my brother getting mail from those big D1 schools!!! That's awesome!!! I hope he tears it up!!!

Not much going on. We just work hard every day ya know, nothing really different!! Glad to hear Cassie got into the science, engineering and math high school!!! I miss you all!! I got to talk to Elder Nelson (Hunter Nelson) it was awesome and Elder Christian Bennett!!! I got the Bryson's letters!!!

Anyways, write me y'all!! joshua.buhler@myldsmail.net

Week 23: He's not starving, he likes down hill better than uphill and its been one long week!

1. What yummy food did you eat this past week? Well, I was eating some Thai curry which was super good or this chicken sea weed wrap that was also pretty tasty!!!!

2. What was the most exciting thing you did this past week? Ride down a really big hill at 35 mph.

3. How do you stay cool? I sweat.

5. Can you send pictures? Currently my camera is in a bag of rice.

Ni hao everyone !!!! So we have a saying from one of my comps who is from Argentina!! He says "we will beat the world today!!!" Well, this past week the world got up and sat on us repeatedly. It was a long week to say the least but I have faith that that only means are coming closer to finding the holy grail. I have met some really cool people. We had to drop this investigator who we bashed with after all he talked about was money and how that could only make us happy. I explained to him about Brandon and Cody and how money was not everything. He got super offended and got in my face and said to me that I was wrong.

But ya .... so the hill from heck is well, from heck.It kills me every time I go up it on my bike but going down it is so much flipping fun.

I got destroyed when arguing about evolution by a guy who majored in bio science. I figured since i was not super good at arguing with religion I would use something I was kinda good at. Well, I got destroyed, but he said he would come to church. Note to self: don't ever do that again. We met this one guy who loves video games and his daughter!!! He also is a professional air soft gun player. He spars with the Taiwanese navy seal type guys. It's pretty funny.

It is cool to here from all of y'all. Chinese is coming along. My comp is really cool. He looks like Obama.  My other comp doesn't speak English so I have to learn Spanish since we both suck at Chinese.  The ward here is pretty chill.

I met Elder Christensen from Timpview who will play MLB so he was pretty cool. People should def write me.

I met this guy from North Carolina  who I assumed like the Tar Heels so I'm like "hey you like the tar heels." He was like "no, I like the New York Jets."

Anyways, I'm glad you guys had a great time on the cruise.
I hope my boys on the devils are ready to tear it up this season. I enjoy hearing about it !!

Love you guys. Miss you all especially football.

Week 22: It's HOT! It's HILLY!! He's HAPPY!!!

1. How is your new area? How far away was it from your old area? What is it like?

My new area is on the other side oft the mission and its a big hill. I'm not even joking. My area is a hill and its hot as heck here.

2. How many missionaries do you have in your new apartment? What is your companion like?

It's just me and Elder Mc Kenzie!!!  He's super chill.  I like him a lot. He is a lot different than Elder Hoopes. They are both chill but he says " I love you" and hugs me and stuff. He's a great companion.

3. What is your new ward like? Do you have investigators there?

I met them once.  It seems like a good ward though.

4. What was your best experience this week?

I convinced this guy that God used science for creation. It was a bash of science.  Also, our ward missionary knew Elder Hunter Nelson from Springville and called him.  I got to talk to him and it was pretty awesome talking to Hunter!!!

5. Have you finished phase 1 of your language study yet?

I finished a while ago.

Well salute!!! Everyone this week has been heck in a good way!!! First off, my area is a big mountain hill and it sucks to ride up it everyday but its super good exercise!! It's hot as heck here and I'm getting darker and darker!!! Everyone thinks I'm like Brazilian or some weird thing but ya its chill!!! I have honestly never worked this hard in my life!!! In the south of the mission its so chill and easy going. I haven't got this much chastised since the MTC but it's good.

My favorite thing to do is when we are at an intersection and my comp starts calling people and I do circles in the intersection to talk to people about the gospel. Oh and I offer free French classes now  so people come to English class to learn French and English. Its pretty hilarious hahaha but ya its good.

So, a funny story.  I  saw a grandma on a Harley with a shirt that said "ask me if  I'm naughty", so I did, and she winked at me.  It was weird!  We have a  ton of investigators and I can't pronounce any of their names at all.

I  had a cool exchange with Elder Woosely who knew team captain Nick Nick Wolford and Isaiah Jefferson from Snow College, my  former team mates. That was cool . We got to say goodbye to President Bishop. It was chill.

Everyone in Taiwan has this habit of saying swear words and I think its hilarious but not everyone shares my sense of  humor.

We have this one RC who isn't really right int he head but last night he came up to me with a spatula and said "freeze G-- D---it" so I did! I couldn't really argue with a man of that accord.

I'm glad your cruise was fun and glad dad got some bonding time!!!! Atta boy Jared that you won all those cruise sports tourneys. I love it !!!  About Jacob sleeping through the cruise, he deserves it. By the way, what's this riffraf about  Max Schriener playing football?  He will probably destroy everyone. He has my blessing . Cassie, I loved your part of the email. It took me by surprise. I thought Caitlin had got on. Don't worry Caity pie being searched at the airport means your outrageously good looking but I do love the airports' security procedure now. Don't search the teenage with the Asian afro, just search the little princess ballerina for traces of explosives. It's kinda like when I got searched at the airport  for being a mish.

I think right now I miss football and coaching football mainly like Jessi, Jake,  Max and Tyler and those guys. I know they are gonna do something special.

Anyways,  I love you all.
I love you
The supreme Diety up stairs loves you
Satan says he loves you but he doesn't
