Week 2 - Josh Continues To Enjoy The MTC

Hola everybody !!! first off I would like to say a "screw you " to all the people who think I will be coming home. You guys are awesome and keep doing your thing.

Sister OF THE WEEK!!!! Sister L is from Ogden Utah. She is brunette with blue eyes. Tall with a wonderful smile. She got an 8 on the Elder Kou scale, 7 most days but 8 one day.

So I have been basically sick this past week with some flu type thing and it was not fun at all!!! I lost like 5 pounds which was cool but I missed class yesterday because of it which meant I got to sleep more but i couldn't sleep at all so.... balls... doctor says I need to be healthier. There is this Elder named Elder B who is honestly just classier than ever.

We had to poop in a cup. It honestly the hardest thing ever. But I didn't want to look dad in the eyes when they sent me home and say dad, I didn't poop in that cup. But ya I did. Then the sisters told us they did and I threw up . I didn't know that girls poop. Weird. I have been basically balling kids at bball. It's ridiculous. I am actually considered athletic here. Its pretty fun. "I say pass me the rock" and they do. 

S/O to Murphy for going into the MTC, Amie for your tryout for the voice go kick but!!! I can say I knew you when you are famous!!! Jacob bro I miss you! I hear your sick!!! I hope you feel better man !!! Don't cut your hair or kiss a girl while I'm gone!!! I got you the best birthday thing ever!!! Also you are the man of the house so act classy but not too classy or all the white kids will start showing up! Cassie I already wrote you but your emails and letters honestly make my day they are so funny you must of gotten hilarious while I left!!! I did say your sarcastic comment and I got chastised up the wahooo. Caity!!! Gosh princess I miss you so much!!! How's dance and everything and elementary school? I hope you enjoy my pictures!!! He's Alive! Week 1 Letter

Hey family!!!! Honestly this whole thing has easily been the hardest thing I have ever done. It is ridiculous but yesterday I got called into the MTC presidents office and the first thing he said was, "Elder you are not going home." Then I was like, "OK." So anyways I'm not coming home. I have thought about it a lot and I realize that I have to give all the poor chumps back home a chance to woo the girls that are waiting for me.

Anyways thank you to everyone for the letters and packages. Honestly mail is the greatest thing in the entire world. I look forward to it every night. So please everyone, even if I don't know you in the slightest write me!!! (that was desperate) Hey Jerbear I want to let you know it was honestly the hardest thing leaving you and I love you so much. You are such a stud and I love your 10 letters in a matter of 2 days. I look forward to seeing you again man. Whatever you do man you be the best at it. 

Jacob, thank you for the letter it really changed my out look on life and I just wanted to remind you to send my highlight film out to the schools again. Also you are not allowed to kiss any girls because I have to be here. Bro you would not believe how many foxy sisters are here its ridiculous (no pun intended). Like it is honestly hard to flirt so I just say hey good to see ya sister which is code for "let's kiss in 2 years". 

Cassie thank you for your letter I laughed my head off. I miss your sarcasm. Sarcasm isn't allowed around here believe it or not. Caty I hope you enjoyed my picture. I thought of you the entire time about how I miss my little princess. 

Mom and Dad thank you so much, I love you guys for everything. My companion looks like he is strait outta of Compton. If Compton were China Town. I could not tell if he was terrified of me or hated me for the longest time. MTC is pretty super spiritual and something that I am clearly not used to. When ever a cute sister comes and asks me where I am from I say in my Irish accent "Dublin." I'm pretty sure most the MTC thinks I am Irish. Thank you for all the love and letters it means so much. I miss you all. Shout out to Elder Garfield, Jeremy, Krieger and that Nadauld kid who are coming in tomorrow. Thank you to Steven Bashann, Mac Troy and Megs for writing me.

My room mates have a wall dedicated to their girl friends and since I got no pics I drew a picture of me and some nameless girl in stick figure form holding hands. It was completely scandalous. Thank you to Sister Noll and the Miles family for the package. I love him. It turns out that Elder Miles is two floors above me and its awesome because I see him every meal and at night. He is honestly a life saver and a reason I'm still here. God bless, Send more stamps, write me and stuff. Love you all. See ya next week. Also send back that memory card.

His First Days of the MTC

We got an SD card in the mail today with just a brief note to send it back. Oh, and to get him more addresses of his friends....and a huge hint that we need to up the ante on our letter and  package sending! From his brief  note, we believe that his companion is Elder G. (the one that looks like Josh's alleged Chinese cousins) and that he was cool! I was thinking these pictures had to be Night/Day 1 or 2 because HOLY COW is this really a room of elders? It looks like the carpet was even freshly vacuumed! Glad to see that they were all having fun! Josh mentioned that Elder Jake Miles was in the same building one level up! Hopefully Pday is coming soon and we'll get more details than a SD card with some photos on it. For now, all I can ascertain is an all elder district, very neat room mates  and that they all look like great young missionaries that are having fun (and studying hard).  Are they eating rice or marshmellows?

Entering The MTC

It's quite an emotional experience! Cassie had pneumonia, Caity and Jared the flu but we made it! After a quick final haircut, ping pong game with Jared, lunch at Brick Oven....we dropped him off!

The Last Bro Get Together!

Coming home from the MTC, many of Josh's friends came to our home to say their goodbyes. What great friends Josh is blessed to have! It was pretty tough saying goodbye!
